Euthanasia and Cremation

Euthanasia is often a very difficult decision, but our practice will support you through this time.

Most of our staff have been through this experience themselves, so can relate to your grief. If you come to the practice for the putting to rest of your pet, we will ensure you can have an appointment at a quiet time of the day, to allow quiet and privacy.
After a pet has been put to rest, their are 3 main options:

1) you can take your pet home to bury
2) your pet can be cremated
3) you can have a private cremation, where you can have the ashes of your
companion back, to scatter or keep.

Here at Ashcroft Veterinary Centre, we use Summerleaze Pet Crematorium.

Summerleaze is based in the Gwent countryside of Redwick. If you do not have the ashes back, the crematorium scatter the ashes into their country gardens.

With a private cremation you will receive an engraved casket with a name plate.

A selection of caskets are available on request.
